Krapina Neanderthal Museum's guest exhibition ”Krapina Prehistoric Man” opened in the Tolmin Museum
On Thursday, 5 September 2024, the guest exhibition of the Krapina Neanderthal Museum, "Krapina Prehistoric Man", authored by Jurica Sabol, senior curator geologist and director of the Museums of Hrvatsko Zagorje, was opened at the Tolmin Museum in Slovenia. It is a traveling exhibition, which in an interesting, interactive and professional way talks about the world's most important site of Neanderthals, the importance of the Krapina collection and the osteological remains of large Pleistocene mammals. In addition to the diorama of the habitat of the Neanderthals in Krapina, the audience was presented with a part of the scientific work of Dragutin Gorjanović-Kramberger, stone tools (artifacts), numerous replicas of fossil bones of Neanderthals and original fossil bones of animals found on Hušnjakovo. Holograms of Pleistocene animals and young Neanderthals, which make this exhibition even richer and more attractive, attract the special attention of visitors.
The exhibition, which will surely attract a large audience to the Soča Valley and the Tolmin Museum, will remain open until 29 November 2024.
